Chamber Music Madness offers several opportunities for school orchestra directors to incorporate chamber music instruction into their music curriculum. These include master classes, chamber music demonstrations, coaching for adjudicated contests, and the new ECCHO program scheduled to begin Fall 2016. CMM welcomes the chance to visit your school for a conversation and a demonstration of the exciting world of chamber music performance. Students benefit from learning that they can perform as individuals in small ensembles and have fun doing it.
The ECCHO program is actively seeking middle and high schools within the Seattle area interested in starting up or strengthening a chamber music component to their music curriculum. ECCHO will offer weekly coached chamber music to a quartet of students in a planned format for a semester. This will be at no cost to the students and can be during, before or after school. We are particularly eager to bring this program to schools with underserved students and will work with orchestra directors to strengthen the music program in the school.
